My Heart is Full Today

God is good all the time but He was working over time this morning :-) We found out several of our friends who have been waiting for court dates, received them this morning. We all thought there would be no word while the courts were closed but somehow there was. Many of their dates are late October and early November so we are hopeful that these children will be home for Christmas. Gives new meaning to the song "I'll be home for Christmas".

In addition to all that fabulous news, we received several pictures from our agency director - she's in Ethiopia for several days. We were able to send presents to the girls and many of these are of them playing with the playdoh, clothes, puzzles, etc. that we sent. There are also some of them holding pictures of our family that we sent. I wish we could show you their little faces - they are so stinkin cute but for now, the little hearts have to remain. Hopefully if we pass court on Oct 17th, we'll finally be able to reveal their entire faces.

Please continue to pray for the work God is doing in Ethiopia.

Blessings,
Valerie

Hannah made a smiley face with her playdoh! Hope this means she's happy too :-)

Abekeya is playing with her new Tinkerbell pencils and writing pad.

They'll fit right in with our other kids - they LOVE getting presents too!

That little smile lights up a room.

We can't wait until all of us can be in the same pictures all together.

A little more positive news on our case

The girls' birth father had court yesterday and all went well. It is sort of bittersweet. Although we are thrilled that he hasn't changed his mind and we are getting our girls, it is hard to think about how very difficult it must be to give up your children. He loved them so much, he wanted a better life for them and we will always be grateful to him for this self sacrifice.

We were also told that our MOWA letter should be there by the time we have court in October so hopefully we will pass court the first time :-)

Thanks you for your continued prayers.

Blessings,
Valerie & Chris
